Propane Tanker Truck Builds for Canadian Fleets

Dependable Truck & Tank designs and builds propane tanker truck builds for distributors, cardlock operators, and delivery fleets across Canada. Every propane truck we produce starts life as a propane bobtail, engineered to move liquid propane safely from bulk plant to customer.

Custom Propane Bobtails Built for the Road

Our propane tanker truck builds start with a chassis-mounted tank designed specifically for liquid propane, not a converted fuel tank. A propane tanker and a bobtail truck are often the same vehicle in the industry, a single chassis carrying its own tank rather than pulling a trailer.

That layout gives propane distributors a manoeuvrable propane transport truck suited to residential routes, tight cardlock yards, and rural delivery runs alike, without sacrificing the payload a growing route needs.

Propane Bobtail & Tanker Configurations

Every route calls for a different setup, so we size and configure each of our propane tanker truck builds around how your drivers actually work.

Residential & Light-Duty Delivery

A smaller-capacity propane delivery truck manoeuvres tight residential streets and driveways while still carrying enough product to make a route worthwhile.

Mid-Size Bulk Delivery

A 3000-gallon propane bobtail is one of the most common configurations on the road, balancing payload against axle weight for single-axle and lift-axle chassis.

Commercial & Industrial Bulk

Larger tandem-axle builds move bulk propane to restaurants, farms, and industrial accounts that go through product fast.

LPG & Autogas Service

An LPG truck built for cylinder filling or autogas dispensing gets specialized valves and piping suited to that specific end use.

Chassis-Mounted Builds

Every propane bobtail chassis mount is matched to the tank capacity and axle configuration your route and provincial weight limits allow.

Built to CSA B620 and B622 Standards

Every one of our propane tanker truck builds meets the CSA B620 standard governing design, construction, and repair of highway tanks in Canada, along with CSA B622 requirements specific to propane and other Class 2 dangerous goods.

A B620 propane tank truck is built with pressure relief devices, excess-flow valves, and piping rated for LPG service, not adapted from a fuel or water tank build. Bonding and grounding provisions are built in to meet loading and unloading requirements at bulk plants.

We document every build to support your ongoing CSA inspection and re-certification schedule.

Where Our Propane Trucks Go to Work

Our propane tanker truck builds serve the full range of propane delivery work Canadian distributors handle every day.

Equipment, Parts & Fit-Out

A propane truck with meter and hose reel is the standard for accurate, billable deliveries, and we fit every unit to your route’s hose length and metering needs. Standard fit-out includes:

New Builds, Refurbishment & R Stamp Repair

A propane tanker truck build doesn’t have to start from a bare chassis. We also handle propane bobtail refurbishment, restoring older units with new piping, decking, and safety components to extend their service life. When a tank needs pressure-boundary work, our shop performs R Stamp propane tank repair under the National Board Inspection Code, keeping your ASME-stamped tank properly certified and documented for continued service.

1. Assess & Design

We review your route, capacity needs, & whether a new build or refurbishment is the right fit.

2. Build & Certify

Our team fabricates, installs, and tests every unit to CSA B620/B622 requirements before delivery.

3. Support & Repair

Ongoing parts, service, and R Stamp repair keep your propane truck compliant and on the road.
