What began as a small service and repair shop in Brampton, Ontario, has grown into one of Canada’s largest independent tank manufacturing facilities. Over 5 decades of industry experience, engineering excellence, and proven reliability have shaped the company we are today. Over 50 Years of Dependability
Since 1975, our name has stood for a simple promise: every unit we build and service should perform safely and reliably for years to come.
Our roots in fuel and service truck repair taught us how tank trucks wear, where they fail, and what it takes to keep them compliant. That knowledge goes into every new build that leaves our shop today. Over 50 years later, the equipment is more advanced, and the standards are more demanding, but our values have not changed. We still build to specification, stand behind our work, and focus on long-term relationships with every customer.

Our story is one of steady growth, built one custom truck and one loyal customer at a time. Each milestone below reflects a new capability we added because Canadian fleets needed it. From our first steel tanker to our expansion into Atlantic Canada, every step has strengthened our ability to serve. From a small family-owned service shop to one of Canada’s largest independent tank manufacturing facilities, Dependable continues to grow while remaining proudly family-founded, operated and continuously dependable, with a focus on quality, service, and long-term relationships.
Today, we serve customers across Ontario and Atlantic Canada through multiple locations and seven specialized divisions.
Our Journey: From 1975 to Today
We specialize in high-spec, custom manufacturing designed around your exact operational needs. Our facilities are equipped to take projects from initial engineering concepts through to final delivery. Every build starts with a detailed review of your product, routes, payload and compliance requirements. Our engineering and fabrication teams then work together to deliver equipment that fits your operation, not a generic spec sheet. Cargo Tanks & Trailer Tankers
We engineer and manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum and other bulk liquids. We also build specialized units for municipal maintenance applications. Since our first 4-compartment steel tanker in 1978, we have expanded into aluminum builds in 1982 and propane trucks in 2005. Each tank is built in the material and configuration that best suits your payload and route. From single-truck operators to large distribution fleets, every customer receives the same level of engineering care.

Dependable serves customers across Ontario and Atlantic Canada through multiple locations. Our head office and main manufacturing facility are located at 275 Clarence Street in Brampton, Ontario. Since acquiring Keltic Tank in 2023, we have added manufacturing operations in Woodstock and extended service coverage to North Bay. In 2024, we opened our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, facility to bring the same standard of service to Atlantic Canadian fleets. Wherever you operate, a Dependable team is closer than ever.
